MINECRAFT SUMMER CAMP
Minecraft is one of the most popular games in the industry, it is this generation’s Super Mario. It’s a game about placing blocks and going on adventures. It’s set in infinitely-generated worlds of vast open terrain – icy mountains, swampy bayous, vast pastures and much more.
Minecraft Education Edition is a game-based learning platform created by Microsoft. It is a great way to bring what they love into an educational field. The open learning environment gives children a blank canvas, where they can make things happen using the coding superpower!
The camp is for students age 7-11. Tuition is $495 for the week. There is a $150 deposit to hold a seat with the remaining balance to be paid before camp starts. Put the deposit 30-day prior to the starting date and get $449 early bird price!

CODING WITH MINECRAFT
In our 5 day Summer Camp, we will be offering a crash course into programming. Each day we will introduce and discover fundamental concepts prevalent in coding and everyday thinking. Some concepts we will be going over include graphic design, game development, creativity, problem-solving, and the fun of programming!
Mod Minecraft on your very own server. This camp is for beginner to advanced learners age 7-11. There are no prerequisites other than a desire to learn and have fun. Our curriculum is flexible to the students’ skill level. At Geekedu, we give students real-world skills with coding tools and languages they can build on after camp.
The summer camp mornings are spent learning about coding algorithm and the development tools while building project-based lessons and fun game modes. Afternoons are flexible and leave time for students to choose what they would like to work on and continue at their own pace. Of course there are also breaks to play unplugged games and design their own game storyline on paper.
At Geekedu, our small instructor to student ratio provides customized learning. Unlike other camps, our instructors have degrees in Computer Science, Design, and STEAM-focused fields.
Our passionate teachers will guide and aid your child in making their own personalized game in Minecraft through hands-on learning and one-on-one mentoring.

What’s special in the camp?
Our camps are different from others because we stray from confining our students’ creativity. Learning to code is a personal experience and choosing to code what you’d like is a freedom all students should have. Geekedu instructors will be instructing your child to program, not making them copy code.
Furthermore, our camps are taught by experienced industry professionals. On a daily basis, your child will be able to interact with programmers at the forefront of computer science and learn to code from the best!
What are they going to learn?
At Geekedu, we strive to equip the youth with the knowledge to explore their own creativity. With this camp, our objective is to build a strong foundation for your child in the world of STEM!
– Critical Thinking: Your child will learn to see a problem, form a plan, then solve it through systematic thinking.
– Creativity: Your child will learn to create their own projects where their only limit is their imagination.
– Problem-solving: Your child will be engaged in tasks where they learn to find alternative ways to resolve problems.
– Team Work: Your child will work in a group, where they will collaborate and learn with other students.
