Course Description:

Geek Education offers 2 different levels of Arduino Microcontroller. Students will be placed in the appropriate level depending on the students’ age, or following the assessment of a trial session.Arduino is an open-source electronics platform based on easy-to-use hardware and software. Arduino boards are able to read inputs -light on a sensor, a finger on a button, or a temperature value -and turn it into an output -activating a motor, turning on an LED, playing music. Arduino is designed to make electronics more accessible to artists, designers, hobbyists and ayone interested in Electrical & Electronic Engineering.

 

Arduino can be used by beginners as well as by industry professionals.In this course, students will learn arduino programming, and apply what they learnt to build a variety of circuits. Beginning with a simple LED blinking, students will be introduced to the basics of arduino programming, and will slowly progress to building advancedsystems in order of increasing difficulty (depending on the level). In addition, students will learn about electrical & electronic circuits, as well as learning how to use breadboards, transistors and a vareity of sensors. Every student is encouraged to be creative and is given freedom to customize their application circuit to their liking

* An interest in physics, electronics and programming* Elementary math skills to understand electrical circuits (Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, Division)

* You have an attitude to learn while having fun

Curriculum

      • Learn the basics of electrical and electronic circuits
      • Learn how to use different sensors and peripherals to build a system (Light sensors, LCD, Motors, Audio signals, …etc.)
      • Learn how to write and run an Arduino code in C++
      • Learn C++ conditional statements, loops, and functions necessary for an Arduino code
      • Learn how to use digital sensors and devices with arduino, and their communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART)
